Travel Stipend at Wesleyan University to Bologna, Italy

Jamie studied at the University of Bologna in the spring of 2002 as a part of the Wesleyan University study abroad program. Italy became her playground and she could not experience enough of it … the amazing art, the spectacular architecture, the beautiful music, the open markets, the gelato shops on every corner! Jamie traveled as much as she could and had dreams of returning to her beloved Italy again and again until she had explored it all from top to bottom. The Amalfi coast was one of her favorite spots – she described it as “heaven”. With so much to see and do in Italy, Jamie was frequently in need of a few more Euro. To celebrate Jamie’s love of the Italian adventure, each year two travel stipends, one for spring semester and one for fall semester, are awarded to Wesleyan students participating in the Bologna study abroad program so that they might “do something special” to enhance their own Italian experience.
