The Shakespeare Ventures summer acting workshop is a one-month comprehensive acting experience for young theater enthusiasts age 10-19 held at the PepsiCo Theater at Fairfield University. Under the guidance of theater professionals, young actors explore many aspects of theater production while contemplating the contemporary relevance of Shakespeare’s classic works. The emphasis is on creative thinking and cultivating an adventurous spirit – qualities that Jamie both possessed and appreciated. To celebrate Jamie’s love of the theatre, a full tuition scholarship is given to a promising young thespian from Bridgeport or New Haven CT who is recommended by a teacher for his or her enthusiasm for the theater and potential for personal growth.
