Jamie was a student at Amity Middle School from 1993-1996. By that time she was fully into her exploration of different art mediums – watercolor, pastels, charcoal, acrylic, etc. The recipient of the award is a promising art student who intends to continue to study art in high school. In addition to talent, the recipient displays a desire to try out new techniques and take artistic risks. The student is also someone who contributes to the positive atmosphere of the school.
